The decision was made to send out a request for proposal, and four companies responded with bids: GFL, Republic, Waste Management and Advance Disposal. “While we did consider amending our agreement with Republic, we had discussions with other township supervisors to find out which waste management company they were using, if they were pleased with the service, and if the service was efficient and cost effective,” says Scott.
